The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has called upon party members to retain diligent branch executives while voting out those he perceives as not making significant contributions to the party’s growth.
This appeal was made during his thank-you tour of the Western North region, where he interacted with party supporters and grassroots leaders regarding the party’s future in light of the forthcoming branch elections.
Mr. Asiedu Nketia emphasized that robust and dedicated leadership at the branch level is essential for establishing a dynamic and effective party structure.
He highlighted that branch executives are the foundation of the party and must exhibit commitment, discipline, and ongoing engagement with party members.
The NDC Chairman urged delegates to evaluate the performance of current executives impartially and to prioritize competence, loyalty, and diligence when casting their votes.
Additionally, he remarked that internal elections should enhance unity within the party instead of fostering division, encouraging members to carry out the process peacefully and in strict adherence to the party’s constitution.
Mr. Asiedu Nketia’s thank-you tour is part of broader initiatives by the party’s leadership to reconnect with grassroots supporters, strengthen internal democracy, and strategically position the party for future political endeavors.
