Akufo-Addo has expressed criticism towards Mahama’s concept of a “24-hour economy.”

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has expressed his disapproval of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama, criticizing his proposed “24-hour economy” initiative as vague and lacking in substance.

The President contended that Mahama lacks innovative solutions to tackle the issues facing Ghana and called on voters to dismiss him in the upcoming presidential election scheduled for Saturday, December 7.

During his campaign tour in the Greater Accra Region, while addressing religious and traditional leaders, as well as supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Tema West constituency, President Akufo-Addo asserted that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is the most capable candidate to guide Ghana towards a prosperous future.

He praised the NPP’s history of effective policies and governance, claiming that continuity under Bawumia would guarantee ongoing development and advancement for the country.

“What is he [John Dramani Mahama] proposing? A 24-hour economy. You were unable to maintain power for even 12 hours a day during your four years in office.

“How can you manage a 24-hour economy when you could not ensure electricity for 12 hours a day? You failed to provide the teacher training allowance and the nurses training allowance.”
