The New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has promised to establish an airport city in Manhyia North, inspired by the Airport City in Accra.
On Wednesday, Dr Bawumia concluded the third day of his Ashanti Region tour by addressing supporters and reaffirming his dedication to spearheading this initiative. He highlighted his past involvement in the Kumasi and Tamale airport projects as valuable experience for leading this endeavor.
We are looking to create an Airport City in Manhyia North with the intention of providing you with various advantages. I spearheaded the discussions with the UK government regarding the airport development. Our goal is to establish an Airport City in Kumasi, similar to the one in Accra.
He urged voters to back his campaign for presidency, stating, “With the help of God, I could potentially serve as president for two full terms if elected. I promise to return to this community to report on my accomplishments.
“Please give me a promotion and the opportunity to serve as president. He said, “Give me the steer and I’ll drive.”
