The Office of the President has firmly denied any involvement in a land dispute involving Ghana International School (GIS), following allegations that the Office, through the Head of the VVIP Unit, is linked to attempts to encroach on school-owned land.
In a statement made on Thursday, September 5, 2024, the President’s Office reiterated that it has no interest in the land in question and has not instructed any officer or agent to intervene in affairs involving the Cantonments region.
“The Office of the President does NOT have any interest whatsoever in the piece of land in question,” the statement emphasized.
It also noted that no orders were provided to any officer to secure or interfere with the property.
The President’s Office has filed a formal complaint with the Inspector General of Police, urging that the situation be thoroughly investigated.
The message closed by advising the public to dismiss any assertions linking the office to the disagreement, calling them fake.
