The Association of Saturday Churches in Ghana has urged President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to state his position on the LGBTQ+ issues in the country.

The clergy in a press conference today slammed President Nana Akufo-Addo for not being bold to tell the western world that his country’s culture and traditions do no allow same sex marriage.

The Executive secretary of the Association, Apostle Samuel Mensah also known as Osomafo Mensah said the wrath of God and calamities of our forefathers will deal with the country’s leaders if LGBTQ+ is legalized in Ghana.

Osomafo Mensah who is also the founder and leader of Savior Light in Jesus Ministry during the press conference said the president must be able to point out to those pushing for gay rights that the rights of homosexuals as persons do not include the right of a man to marry a man or a woman to marry a woman.

The Association is also urging Parliament to pass the Anti-LGBTQ+ Bill without fear or intimidations before they go on break.
