Former fetish priestess-turned-evangelist, Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, widely recognized as Nana Agradaa, has been released from Nsawam Prison after completing eight months in custody.
She has since been reunited with her husband and family. Her husband, Asiamah, confirmed her return home through a Facebook post on Tuesday, March 3, stating: “Thank God my wife is finally home.”
Nana Agradaa is also anticipated to join members of her church later in the day for fellowship, marking her first public appearance since regaining her freedom.
Initially, she was sentenced to 15 years’ imprisonment on July 3, 2025, after being found guilty of defrauding by false pretence and engaging in charlatanic advertisement. However, her legal team contested the ruling, asserting that the sentence was excessive.
Upon review, the Amasaman High Court reduced the sentence to 12 calendar months, characterizing the original punishment as severe.
Her release is in accordance with Ghana’s standard remission rules, as she has served two-thirds of the revised sentence.
