King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, the Ga Mantse, is in stable condition after a road accident early Thursday in the Oti Region.
The incident took place around 2:00am at Pai-Katanga while the King was on his way back to Accra from Tamale in the Northern Region. Sources close to the palace have indicated that he had traveled to Tamale for a private visit at the invitation of the Yaa Naa.
This visit was characterized as cordial and significant, contributing to ongoing discussions among traditional authorities aimed at enhancing unity and reinforcing mutual respect among Ghana’s esteemed institutions.
However, during his return journey to Accra, the Ga Mantse’s vehicle was involved in an accident. Fortunately, the King reportedly emerged unscathed and remains in good spirits.
Further information from sources revealed that while the Ga Mantse was unharmed, his driver suffered serious injuries and was promptly taken to the hospital for medical attention.
Personnel from the Ghana Police Service responded quickly after being notified of the incident.
Although the complete details surrounding the accident are still pending, the atmosphere at the palace is reportedly one of relief and gratitude as the Ga Mantse continues his recovery.
