The seasoned legislator passed away on Sunday, January 4, at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital following a period of illness.
In accordance with Islamic customs, his burial is occurring within 24 hours of his death, attracting mourners from Nima, Kanda, and surrounding areas.
As stated by the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso North, Yussif Jajah, a high-level intervention from President John Dramani Mahama facilitated the swift completion of all administrative procedures, allowing the family to receive the body on Sunday evening.
Janazah prayers are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. today at the Ayawaso East Constituency Office located on the Kanda Highway. The National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, is anticipated to lead the prayers prior to the body being taken to the Madina Cemetery for burial.
The Greater Accra Regional Police Command has implemented security measures to manage the anticipated heavy traffic along the Kanda Highway and the Nima-Mamobi area.
