Former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has expressed his deep sorrow over the passing of Ernest Yaw Kumi, the Member of Parliament representing Akwatia.
In a Facebook message posted on Monday, July 7, Akufo-Addo expressed that he was “devastated” upon receiving the news, emphasizing Kumi’s popularity among party supporters and his esteemed reputation among constituents and acquaintances alike.
“I am heartbroken to hear of the passing of Ernest Yaw Kumi, Member of Parliament for Akwatia Constituency. The legislator was beloved by party loyalists and respected by all who knew him or had mutual acquaintances with him.”
Akufo-Addo offered his sincere condolences to Kumi’s mourning family, the Parliament of Ghana, and the citizens of Akwatia during this challenging time.
